The Skate Australia AGM for 2010 will be held on Friday 1st October 2010 commencing at 7pm at Super-Drome Velodrome, State Sports Park, Main North Road, Geeps Cross, Adelaide SA

Skate NSW Artistic Branch is pleased to sanction the Team Skatel Winter 2010 Open Competition on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th August 2010.

This is the last SkateNSW Sanctioned Artistic competition before the 2010 Australian Artistic National Championships.

Skate NSW Artistic Branch 2010 SkateNSW Artistic State Championships, combined with the 2010 Elementary Championships and Rising Stars events took place on the June long weekend, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June 2010 at the Hills Basketball Stadium, Castle Hill.

This is the second SkateNSW Artistic competition of 2010, returning to Club run competitions, this event will be co-hosted by both Team Skatel Artistic Roller Skating Club & Taren Point Roller Skating Club.

The competition is be held at Menai Indoor Stadium (Saturday 1st May) & Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium (Sunday 2nd May).

Macarthur Rollersports is looking for people who have a passion for Inline Hockey or Speed Skating, enjoy teaching and would like to develop the branch to its full potential in the Macarthur area.

The club will provide all training opportunities for skaters to reach accreditation in their chosen branch and provide all development equipment and structure needed to reach each branch's full potential.

The Penrith Skatel Monday 'Seniors' Night Inline Hockey Competition draw 1 finals have been completed, with the Grand Final to be held on Monday 10th May 2010.

First place Team 2 (Yellow) beat Second place Team 4 (Black) 15 - 8 in the Winners Finals.

Third place Team 3 (White) beat fourth place Team 1 (Red) 12 - 11 in the Runner's up final.

Hastings Hornets will be hosting the first Inline Hockey NSW tournament of 2010 at the Wauchope Basketball stadium on 20th & 21st March 2010.

Inline Hockey made a successful debut on Fox Sports in November

Round 8 of the NSW GP series will occur on Sunday 5 December at Blacktown netball courts. Warm-up at 8:30am for a 9:00am race start. The event programme is available for download from the event calendar and notices page.

The 2010 SkateNSW Speed AGM will be run during the lunch break of round 8 of the GP series.

The Skating race at the 2010 Cronulla Grand Prix has been cancelled due to logistical difficulties brought about by the expanded cycling event format which now includes longer TV coverage and a 5 day race programme at various venues.

Sunday morning training will be run between 8am and 10am at the Blacktown Netball courts until the start of nationals.

Congratulations to Lee Mullard who won the 2010 Camden Match Sprint Cup. Richard Vitiello placed 2nd and there was a tie for 3rd between Adam Mullard and Andrew Tiffany. The event report is available for download from the results page.

The SkateNSW allocated race numbers list is now posted under the uniforms and numbers heading on the SkateNSW Speed Branch Procedures, Rules and Guidelines page. Indoor Speed Training in the Wollongong area is running on Tuesday nights between 8pm and 9pm (this is right after the rollerderby training) at the Sports Hub at Wollongong Uni. See the skating venues and training page for more details.

Roller Derby training is available at Penrith Skatel Tuesdays 7:00pm-9:00pm - Track now down.

Training is aimed at new “Fresh Meat” or those Roller Derby players that want to improve their Roller skating skills.

SkateNSW will be participating in the Blacktown SportsFest Expo on Sunday 5th September, 2010, at the Baseball Centre, Blacktown Olympic Park, Eastern Road, Rooty Hill.

The event will be held from 12:00pm (Noon) - 4:00pm, and is a great day out for the whole family...

SkateNSW Life Member Sophie Muir has completed her dream of becoming an Olympian.

She competed in the Long Track Speed Skating – Ladies 1,000m racing this morning at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
